The View Winery – East Kelowna, BC

One of our favorite stops in the Okanagan Valley, The View Winery is a family-owned estate winery situated on land that has been in the Turton/Ward family for five generations. Perched above the city of Kelowna overlooking Okanagan Lake, this award-winning winery offers a truly authentic and unforgettable experience.

Tucked into a charming 1920s-era vintage building — originally a neighbourhood apple packing house built in 1922 — the wine shop is an eclectic and inviting stop on any wine tour. In 2006, the old packinghouse was transformed into a winery and cidery, honouring the family’s deep agricultural roots while embracing a passion for quality winemaking.

The View produces an impressive portfolio of award-winning aromatic cool-climate whites and fruit-forward, spicy reds, including Riesling, Gewürztraminer, Pinot Gris, Pinotage, and Pinot Noir. In honour of their apple-growing heritage, they also craft the beloved Wards Cider. And in 2013, they launched Canada’s first wine in a can — the wildly popular BLING Sparkling Wine.
